What is the Thermal Management Lab?

The Thermal Management Laboratory is a facility for performing physical measurements on the flow and heat transfer in electronic equipment. Our current emphasis is on air-cooled equipment, like that found in personal computers, consumer electronics, and bench-top laboratory equipment. As our facility grows we will expand into other areas such as liquid cooled systems, phase change systems, heat pipes, ...

In addition to assisting local companies with their thermal management problems, the lab supports our class: Thermal Management Laboratory
