Master of Engineering -- Course Work Option
Students wishing to pursue a Masters degree without completing a research
project can obtain the Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering (MENG).
The MENG degree can be a desirable choice for engineers who have completed
a BSME degree and who are working full time.
Students take a total of 45 credits of approved graduate courses, including the
required core courses. The student's graduate advisor and the Mechanical
Engineering Department Chair must approve the elective graduate courses.
Although the course work option does not require a research project,
students graduating with the course work option can take ME 506.
Students taking the course work option can apply no more than twelve
credits of ME 505 and ME 506 toward their degree.
The information on this page is intended
to aid students in completion of their degrees. The degree requirements
